Alexandra joined Purple Lion Day Nurseries in June 2019 and she has a Level 3 Qualification in Early Years. She enjoys creating supportive, resourceful and loving environments in which children can explore, learn and flourish. ''I love to see how children react when you present them with a new idea or activity and I enjoy providing children with the right resources and space to develop their own creative ideas and put them into practice. When I am not in the nursery I enjoy exploring nature, photography, design,history and museums''.
Lorraine joined us in November 2020 as our new Nursery Manager. She is a positive and entusiasthic individual with a Level 5 Qualification in Early Years. She is also Designated Safeguarding Lead and SENCO and she has been working with children for the past 15 years. ‘’My goal is to give every child the opportunity to flourish & become an independent learner in their own time. Outside of work I enjoy music, exploring the outdoors and spending time with family''.
Baby Room Manager
Anita has a Qualified Teacher Status and has been working with children for the past 11 years. She is a Designated Safeguarding Lead and also a SENCO. ‘’Nothing brings me more happiness than seeing the growth and evolution of our young children. In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my family, arts & crafts with my two children, playing piano and reading.
Pre-school Room Leader
Possessing a contagious enthusiasm, Veronica has been leading our Pre-School Room since January 2021. Her passion for teaching, her creativity and drive make her a great colleague and Early Years teacher. She has a Qualified Teacher Status and is currently studying towards teaching Spanish to children aged 4 to 16 years of age. ‘’I am passionate about creating art work and amazing visual aids that can support and enhance children’s learning. When I am not in the nursery, I am either travelling, reading, dancing flamenco or visiting museums’’.
Toddler Room Leader
Samantha joined us in July 2020 as a nursery assistant and recently became a Room Leader in training for the toddler room. She is studying towards becoming a Level 3 Early Years Practitoner and she is currently a L2 Designated Safeguarding Lead. ''I am committed to helping children explore and learn in a hands-on environment and I enjoy presenting children with new and exciting activities everyday. Outside my working hours I enjoy cooking, music and playing football''.
Sonia is our Nursery Chef and Health and Safety Officer and she has been with Purple Lion Day Nurseries since November 2019. ‘’I enjoy being able to prepare healthy and nutritious meals for all our children as I strongly believe that all children must have the opportunity of a healthy start in life. Outside my work hours I relax listening to music, cooking and nature walks’’.
Level 3 Early Apprentice
Catalina is a caring and patient individual and has been working in a children’s private orphanage in Romania for a number of years. She has been with Purple Lion Day Nurseries since 2020, first in the toddlers/preschool room and currently working as an Early Years Apprentice in the baby room. She has a Social Worker Degree and she is also working towards becoming a Level 3 Child Practitioner. ‘’I am passionate about helping children learn and grow by exploring nature and the community around them. Things I enjoy outside of work are forest walks, painting and reading.
Early Years Practitioner
Abbie is a Level 3 Early Years practitioner and has been with Purple Lion Day Nurseries since 2019. She is a very positive and patient individual and she has been working with children for over 6 years. ‘’I have always loved working with children and I enjoy being around them and listen to their stories. Outside work I enjoy music, going to the theatre and exploring new places’’.
Early Years Practitioner
Samreen joined Purple Lion Day Nurseries in October 2019. She is a Level 3 Early Years Practitioner in the Pre-School room. ''I am passionate about ofering children the support and reassurance they need on a day to day basis. I also enjoy singing and teaching french to our Pre-schoolers. In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my family, playing games with my two sons, cooking, driving sport cars.
Early Years Practitioner
Tamara is an enthusiastic Level 2 Early Years Practioner and A.M.I Montessori assistant. She is currently studying towards her Level 3 in Early Years teaching and towards teaching spanish to children aged 4 to 16 years of age. ''I enjoy being surrounded by children and teaching them about nutrition and the importance of physical activity. I also love listening to their stories and adventures. In my spare time I study, sing or go for lovely forest walks and hikes with my dogs''.
